"Shit," he thought as his car wisped down the highway at an unruly speed. "I hope I'm not too late! It's almost 6!" He sat waiting at a red light for what almost felt like an hour before finally pulling into the parking lot, checking his phone to see the time once again.
5:58 pm. He had two minutes to spare.
He pulled open the large wooden doors into the dim, yet cozy restaurant and removed his hat nervously.

“Yeah, it’s late. I’m gonna pass out too,” Anthony replied while closing his laptop and lifting his tired body from the beige leather loveseat in their shared home. He left his computer on the table and began walking to the bathroom to brush his teeth. As he began his slightly tedious action of keeping his dental hygiene intact, Anthony saw through the corner of his eye the shadow of his roommate of just barely a week trudge past and yawn heavily as he made his way to his room
The Past Catches Up (Ch 8)Anthony offered to drive but Ian declined. Driving meant Ian could focus more on the thoughts clouding his mind while Anthony sat beside him filming dancing pickles and oversized trucks go by. He realized Anthony was just trying to lift his spirits by joking around with the camera like they usually did but it just didn’t feel right this time.
